As a fashion photographer I shoot with many different types people, locations and gear. Today I'm only going to talk about the gear I use. So I made you a list with links on the subject.
This is my main camera body for literally EVERYTHING! I love my camera soooo much and It has great quality photos and video. But serious note here! Everyone should know that gear doesn't matter so if you have a "beginners camera" you are no different than a person with an $4,000+ camera. What sets you truly apart from the other guy is your knowledge, skill, and experience.
There are 3 versions of this lens, such as the 50mm 1.2 and 50mm 1.4 lenses and 50mm 1.8. So naturally there are going to be price differences. In my opinion there's no real difference in quality except for a little bit in unnoticed clarity and the 50mm 1.2 is weather proof when paired with a weather proof camera for example: (camera body in #1).
If you don't like the 50mm lens then I recommend getting either the 24-70mm or 85mm lenses. But it depends on what you're doing as well. If you do fashion shows i recommend getting a 70-200mm f/2.8 and setting it at f/4 or more. Since it gives enough focus for the subject and blurs the background enough not to be distracting.
